Hot gas generator for sand drying at Wünschendorfer Dolomit

Wünschendorfer Dolomit specializes in the extraction and processing of dolomite rock. The company produces various dolomite products for industrial applications, including the building materials and chemical industries. For its processing operations, Carbotechnik supplied a hot gas generator for sand drying as well as additional process equipment.

Two hot gas generators for different processes

Carbotechnik supplied two hot gas generators to Wünschendorfer Dolomitwerke. Each unit provides an output of 1.5 MW and operates at a temperature of 370 °C. Both systems use lignite dust as their fuel.

The first hot gas generator for sand drying is used in the sand drying process. It generates the required hot air for efficient and reliable material drying. As a result, the system provides the necessary thermal energy for a consistent drying process.

Carbotechnik connected the second hot gas generator to the mill. It supplies the hot air required for the milling process. Therefore, the two units perform different tasks while reliably providing process heat to the respective production stages.

Hot gas generators using lignite dust

Both hot gas generators for sand drying and milling use lignite dust as fuel. This setup allows Wünschendorfer Dolomit to generate the required process heat directly for the individual applications.

The systems are designed for reliable continuous operation. At the same time, their coordinated design ensures an efficient supply of hot air for both the drying and milling processes.

Silo, dosing and conveying System

In addition to the two hot gas generators, the scope of supply included a silo as well as a dosing and conveying system. These components ensure a reliable fuel supply for the heating systems.

The silo provides storage capacity for the lignite dust. The dosing and conveying system then transports the fuel to the hot gas generators in a controlled manner. This allows the fuel supply to adapt reliably to the requirements of each process.
