Dosing Machine with Conveying Air Control for the Lusical Lime Plant
For the Lusical lime plant in Portugal, which is part of the Lhoist Group, Carbotechnik supplied a dosing machine with conveying air control. For the first time, Carbotechnik integrated the complete distribution of conveying air into 12 lines directly on the dosing machine. The system was also fully pre-wired before delivery. As a result, the installation effort on site is significantly reduced.
Conveying Air Distribution Directly on the Dosing Machine
The conveying air duct and cable tray run around the dosing machine in a ring-shaped configuration. Branches connect the main duct and cable tray to the individual dosing units. Carbotechnik therefore supplies the main components of the conveying air distribution already pre-assembled and fully wired.
This significantly reduces the installation work required by the customer. The customer only had to install the cable tray between the dosing machine and the control cabinet and connect the loose cable ends inside the cabinet. In addition, the conveying air is supplied by a blower also provided by Carbotechnik.
As a result, the installation can be completed more quickly and with less effort. At the same time, the customer benefits from better cost planning and reduced installation requirements.
Automatic Conveying Air Control for Optimum Burner Performance
The conveying air control for the individual lines operates fully automatically via pneumatic positioners. Depending on the application, the system can use either conveying-air velocity or volume as the control variable.
This allows operators to adjust the conveying air directly from the control room. Whenever operating conditions in the lime shaft kiln change, the conveying-air supply can be adjusted accordingly. In this way, the dosing machine with conveying air control supports precise fuel feeding and contributes to optimum burner performance.
With its pre-assembled air distribution, automatic control system and integrated blower, Carbotechnik provides a well-designed solution that reduces installation effort while also simplifying subsequent operation.
