ATEX Zone 22 dosing machine for a QualiCal PFR kiln
As part of our collaboration with our Italian business partner QualiCal, Carbotechnik supplied an ATEX Zone 22 dosing machine to Köhler Kalk in Meißnaer. The dosing system was specially designed to provide a reliable and precise fuel supply for a QualiCal PFR lime kiln.
Precise fuel dosing for PFR lime kilns
The core of the system is a DN1800 dosing machine with three dosing sections and two outlets per section. This configuration enables precise and reliable fuel dosing for the PFR kiln.
In addition to the dosing machine, Carbotechnik supplied the complete conveying air distribution system. We mounted the system directly onto the dosing unit to create a compact design and reduce the installation effort on site.
Compact design and easy installation
The dosing machine integrates the main electrical components into a terminal box mounted directly on the dosing vessel. These components include the pressure switches and the dosing disc drive.
This integrated design simplifies electrical installation and reduces the amount of additional equipment required on site. At the same time, it provides a clear and compact solution for controlling and monitoring the fuel dosing system.
ATEX Zone 22 fuel dosing technology
Because the system handles combustible fuel dust, Carbotechnik designed and connected the complete dosing machine in accordance with ATEX Zone 22 requirements. The design ensures safe operation in areas where an explosive dust atmosphere may occur occasionally during normal operation.
The ATEX Zone 22 dosing machine combines precise fuel dosing, integrated conveying air distribution, and a compact electrical design. As a result, the system provides the end customer with a reliable and efficient fuel supply for the QualiCal PFR lime kiln.
