40-MW Gas Burner for FCT Combustion Inc. – High-Temperature Solution Made of Steel

Carbotechnik, in collaboration with FCT Combustion Inc., has delivered a high-performance natural gas burner with a capacity of 40 MW to a customer in the United States and successfully commissioned it. The system generates hot gas at temperatures of up to 1,650°C, which is used for the direct drying of industrial materials.

The specially developed gas burner features an air-cooled steel construction without a refractory lining. This design enables particularly fast response times when regulating the heating output, thereby meeting the customer’s specific requirements.

The compact design with integrated air staging allows for precise control of emissions and ensures compliance with low emission limits—a significant advantage in high-temperature industrial operations.
