For the fourth time, decision-makers from the manufacturing industry were invited to an information event in Geretsried. Participants from the lime, cement, gypsum and coal industries as well as steel and mechanical engineering came on 04.07.2019 to deal with current questions on the future of process energy.

The reservations about fossil fuels and thus the pressure on energy-intensive companies to break new ground is growing steadily.

In order to ensure further economic development, not only in Germany but throughout the European Union, it is necessary to generate energy in the form of process heat, steam and hot water for production processes safely, affordably and in an environmentally sound manner.

The Carbotechnik experts have dealt extensively with the subject of fuel of the future. After intensive research, wood dust emerged as one of the most promising alternative sources of energy for companies with medium and high energy requirements. Harald Schwab, one of the participants of the event and at the same time the Sales Director of Eberhardt Schwab GmbH, a specialist in refractory technology for lime shaft furnaces, agreed with this statement and added: "Wood dust is definitely the fuel of the future. When the coal exit is sealed, only the wood dust or pellets remain as a substitute fuel. However, the availability of the fuel must be guaranteed”.

Klaus Neumann, Head of the  Cement and Lime Department at ZKW Otterbein, found the lecture on" New energy sources of the future" extremely interesting and added: " To the increasingly scarce energy sources, for us - as an energy-intensive company in lime and cement production, the event was very forward-looking. Our company uses the dosing technology of the Carbotechnik and appreciates the innovative, but also the conservative technology very much".

Numerous lectures presented the latest Carbotechnik projects and innovative products, such as: Dosing and conveying technology for wood dust. It was an all-round successful meeting that focused on information, exchange of views and discussion on process heat of the future.
